How to Build a Fetal Housing Urban Development Center in Miami
Posted August 10, 2018 05:58:50 Miami-Dade County officials announced today the approval of a plan for a proposed development in Miami-dade County’s South Florida Hills neighborhood.
The project is called The Green Building, and is intended to bring thousands of people together, including children, women, and senior citizens.
The proposed development would be called the Green Building at the Gates Point Apartments, and will feature a 200,000-square-foot mixed-use residential/retail/office complex with 500 units.
Developers said the Green Building would bring thousands more residents to the area.
“Our goal is to bring hundreds of thousands of residents to Miami-Miami-Dades County and its surrounding area by creating jobs, creating economic development and creating new jobs in the neighborhoods,” Miami-Herald reporter Dan Bowerman wrote in a story today.

“The Green Building is not just a building for Miami-The Gardens, but it is a new development to the region and to the city of Miami-Coral Gables,” Miami Mayor Carlos Gimenez said in a statement.
“It is an opportunity for the city to take a lead role in creating the jobs that will fuel the future prosperity of this region.
There is a lot of room to grow here and this is a way to do it.
We have been a partner in creating opportunities for young people and for families to grow together.”
The project was first approved by the Miami-Manahan County Commission last year.
The Green building would consist of four residential buildings and an office building.
Developer Mike Foscolo has been in the neighborhood for over 20 years, and said he is proud of the neighborhood’s redevelopment efforts.
He said the development is part of the city’s efforts to help revitalize the area, and that the development will add a mix of housing options for families.
It is also expected to provide jobs, and attract young people to the neighborhood, said Foschio.
Gimenez said he expects construction to begin in the coming months, and the project will include a pedestrian walkway, a fitness center, and an indoor pool.
More to come.
