How to develop a sustainable and prosperous future for all
A new book aims to guide a world away from conflict and war and into a sustainable future for humanity.
The book is titled Sustainable Development: The Path to Peace, written by a group of prominent thinkers and environmentalists, including Nobel Prize winner Joseph Stiglitz, Nobel Peace Prize winner Stephen Hawking, and the founder of Oxfam.
The goal of the book is to “change the way we think about peace, development, and peacebuilding” by explaining how our actions can have a positive impact on the planet and ultimately the human race.
“We have to change the way the world sees itself,” Stigliz said in a press statement.
“What we have to do is to take our eyes off the ball, take our feet off the pedal, and change the culture.”
The book describes how to use the world’s resources, develop sustainable economies, and build sustainable societies.
It is based on the works of a number of prominent figures who are prominent in their fields, including: John Galt, the author of The Power of Habit; Robert Reich, former Secretary of Labor; and Robert Zoellick, a Nobel Prize-winning economist and environmental activist.
This book, which is available in ebook and paperback, was written with the cooperation of the Oxfam Foundation, a non-profit organization.
A spokesperson for the book said the book’s goal is to educate people and inspire them to become “emotionally healthy” by using the world around them.
Stigliosz, who has authored more than 20 books, told the BBC that he “has been very deeply influenced by the work of [author] Jane Goodall.”
He added that his book “will change the world.”
The subtitle of the project is “Why we must act.”
“If you don’t have a plan, then you can’t make a difference,” he said.
“The world’s problems are so huge and they need to be solved, so we must change the system, we must shift the world, we have the power to change things.
The world needs a change.”
Stiglizers work “totally independently of Oxfarms or the Oxfarm Foundation,” he told the CBC.
The work of his team includes academics, businesspeople, and politicians who are committed to ending conflicts and fighting poverty.
In a recent interview, Stiglitizes the work he’s been doing in his own life.
“I think it’s a great inspiration for the world,” he added.
“You have to be willing to go outside of yourself and ask yourself how do I go about changing the world?”
Stiglizer said he thinks the book will be “a catalyst for people to change their behaviour.”
