A developer in the Perth area has been arrested after allegedly breaching a probation order, police said.
Detective Inspector Tim Coughlan said he was called to the scene at 9.40am (local time) on Friday (local day) after a member of the public reported that a man had broken a protective order and was acting “in an inappropriate manner”.
“We have a suspect who has been identified and has been taken into custody,” he said.
“This is a serious offence and the investigation continues.”
A 30-year-old man from Perth, who was not identified, has been charged with breaching the terms of his probation and is due to appear in Perth Magistrates Court on Sunday.
Det Coughlans office said the man’s actions were “inappropriate” and “in breach of the terms” of his order.
The police investigation began after the man allegedly broke a protective plan issued by the Perth City Council in January, which meant he could not work in a location where he was not supervised.
Police have appealed for information about the suspect’s whereabouts.
